Why did I get two sets of floor mats with my new Subaru?
Subaru dealers often hand over the carpet set that came with the car plus an all-weather set from the accessory catalog, and people find both in the cargo area. Use one at a time. Stacking them is a real hazard, not a tidiness rule. If neither reaches the door sill as far as you want, that is where a MAXPRO tray comes in.

Does a 2025 Forester use the same liners as a 2024?
No, and MAXPRO splits them. The 2020 to 2024 Forester gets a first and second row set and a cargo liner. The 2025 to 2026 car adds a seat back liner and a cargo and seat back pair. Subaru redesigned the Forester for 2025, so treat the boundary as real. Buy from the listing that names your year, not the one that names your model.

What kind of floor mats are standard in a Subaru?
Varies by trim and by what the dealer added, which is why two owners of the same car describe it differently. Carpet is the usual factory item. All-weather rubber is normally an accessory line with its own price. Check your purchase paperwork rather than the brochure. Where either falls short is depth at the sill, and that is the gap MAXPRO liners are cut to fill.

Which Subaru models does MAXPRO fit?
MAXPRO covers three models over five listings. Crosstrek splits at the 2024 redesign, Forester at 2025, and Outback covers 2022 to 2025 on its own. That is the whole Subaru range for now. Ascent, Impreza, WRX and Solterra owners will not find a tray here, and a Forester liner is not close enough to improvise with.

Will a liner handle a wet dog and muddy trailhead gear?
That is most of what Subaru owners buy them for. Every Subaru fitment MAXPRO lists includes a cargo liner alongside the floor set, and the 2025 Forester adds a seat back liner for the side of the load that ends up against the seats. TPX does not absorb water, so the whole lot hoses off in the driveway.

How cold can a Subaru liner get before it goes hard?
Cheap rubber stiffens, then cracks. That is a fair worry in the states where Subarus sell, and it is most of the reason MAXPRO uses TPX, which stays flexible as temperatures swing rather than going brittle at one end of the year and tacky at the other. Check the driver side now and then anyway. Especially where the heel sits.
