Why does a Seltos need its own liner instead of a trim-to-fit mat?
Because Kia built the Seltos around a boxy, upright cabin and the footwell has a shape a universal mat cannot follow. This liner is cut to the 2022-2026 Kia Seltos floor mats pattern, so it lies flat against the tunnel and reaches the sill instead of curling at the corner.
Does it hold up to a real winter?
That is what the raised perimeter is for. Road salt, slush off a boot, a leaking gym bag: it all stays in the tray. The TPX compound does not go stiff and brittle when the car sits out overnight in a hard freeze, and it does not soften and print when it bakes in July.
What about the smell?
There isn't one. Maxpro uses an odorless, non-toxic compound rather than recycled rubber, which is the usual culprit. In a cabin this small you would notice.
Cleaning is a hose and a shake. Fitting takes about a minute, with nothing to cut and no tools involved.
